Battle of Maeso Fortress
The Battle of Maeso Fortress was fought in 675 at Maesoseong, a fortress north of present-day Seoul, between Silla and a Tang Chinese army. Silla's victory, followed by the naval battle of Gibeolpo in 676, ended the Silla–Tang War and forced the Tang to give up their attempt to rule the Korean peninsula.
