Dengzhou
Dengzhou was a prefecture and port on the northern coast of the Shandong peninsula in China, at modern Penglai, facing the Bohai Strait. It was a main harbour for sea traffic between China, Korea and Manchuria. In 732 a Balhae fleet under Jang Mun-hyu raided it and killed the prefect, and in later centuries it was an important naval base.
