Gyeongwon Yi clan

Also known as Incheon Yi clan

The Gyeongwon Yi clan, also known as the Incheon Yi, was one of the most powerful aristocratic lineages of the Korean kingdom of Goryeo. From the eleventh century it married daughters into the royal house and monopolised high office for about eighty years. Its power ended after the failed revolt of Yi Ja-gyeom in 1126.
