Parliament Acts 1911 and 1949
The Parliament Acts 1911 and 1949 are two acts of the UK Parliament that limit the power of the House of Lords. The 1911 Act, passed after the Lords rejected the People's Budget, removed their veto over money bills and replaced their veto over other bills with a delay of two years, which the 1949 Act cut to one year.
