Sa'id al-Dawla
Sa'id al-Dawla was the last effective Hamdanid emir of Aleppo, reigning from 991 to 1002. His emirate was squeezed between the Byzantine Empire and the Fatimid caliphate, and he relied on Byzantine help against Fatimid sieges. Real power lay with his chamberlain Lu'lu', who probably had him poisoned and soon ended Hamdanid rule.
