Alexander II of Imereti
Alexander II was king of Imereti in western Georgia from 1484 to 1510, son of Bagrat II of Imereti. He held the kingdom against rivals and was recognised as overlord by the princes of Mingrelia, Guria and Abkhazia, though his attempts to take Kartli failed. In the last year of his reign the Ottomans raided Imereti for the first time and sacked Kutaisi.
