Alhama de Granada
Alhama de Granada is a town in the province of Granada, Spain, known since Roman and Moorish times for its hot springs. A Nasrid stronghold guarding the road to Granada, it was taken by a Castilian surprise attack in February 1482, in reply to the Nasrid seizure of Zahara, opening the Granada War that ended with the fall of Granada in 1492.
