Balliceaux

Balliceaux is a small, uninhabited island in the Grenadines of Saint Vincent. In 1796 and 1797 the British held several thousand Garifuna, defeated in the Second Carib War, on the island, where about half died of disease and hunger. The survivors, about 2,000, were shipped to Roatán off Honduras, and the Garifuna remember the island as the place of their exile.
