Bidayuh
The Bidayuh are an indigenous people of south-western Sarawak in Malaysian Borneo, living mainly in the hills around Kuching, and were formerly called Land Dayaks. Traditionally hill-rice farmers living in longhouses, with distinctive round head-houses, they joined Malays in the revolt of 1836–1841 against Brunei's governors, which James Brooke helped to end and which brought him to power in Sarawak.
