Borneo
Borneo is a large island in the Malay Archipelago of Southeast Asia, today divided between Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei. Its coastal ports were linked to the maritime trade networks of the archipelago. The Majapahit Empire claimed influence over parts of Borneo as tributary territories, part of a sphere stretching from Sumatra to Sulawesi.
