Bignor Roman Villa

Bignor Roman Villa is the site of a large Roman courtyard villa near Chichester in West Sussex, England, discovered in 1811. Developed from a modest farmhouse into one of the largest villas in Britain by the fourth century, it is known for its fine mosaics, including scenes of Venus and gladiatorial cupids and a head of Medusa, which are still displayed in their original positions.
