Biloxi
Biloxi is a city on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, United States. In 1699 Pierre Le Moyne d'Iberville built Fort Maurepas across Biloxi Bay, the first French settlement in Louisiana, and a later settlement on the present site served as the colony's capital from 1720 to 1722. It grew into a seafood and resort town and was badly damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
