Canadian Red Ensign

The Canadian Red Ensign was a red flag with the Union Jack in the canton and the Canadian coat of arms in the fly, used as Canada's unofficial and later official national flag on land and at sea from the late nineteenth century. Canadian forces fought under it in the Second World War. It was replaced by the Maple Leaf flag on 15 February 1965.
