Christopher II of Denmark
Christopher II was King of Denmark from 1320 to 1326 and again from 1329 to 1332. Forced to accept a harsh coronation charter, he lost control of the kingdom to the nobles and to the counts of Holstein, to whom most of the realm was pawned. After his death Denmark had no king until 1340, when his son Valdemar IV began to recover the lost lands.
