Daesitiates

The Daesitiates were an Illyrian people of central Bosnia, in the hills around the upper Bosna valley. Under their leader Bato they began the Great Illyrian Revolt against Rome in 6 CE, joined by the Pannonian Breuci, and held out until 9 CE. After their defeat they were organised as a community of the Roman province of Dalmatia.
