Dashavatara Cave
The Dashavatara Cave, Cave 15 at Ellora in Maharashtra, is a two-storeyed rock-cut Hindu temple of the eighth century, named after its sculptures of the ten avatars of Vishnu. It also has large Shaiva reliefs. An inscription of the Rashtrakuta founder Dantidurga carved in the cave records his conquests and is one of the earliest documents of the dynasty's rise.
