Vishnu
Vishnu is one of the principal gods of Hinduism, worshipped as the preserver of the universe and, in Vaishnavism, as the supreme being. He is believed to descend to earth in avatars, among them the boar Varaha, Rama and Krishna, to restore cosmic order. His worship spread across South and South-East Asia, where kings from India to Java and Cambodia identified themselves with him.
