Daudi Chwa II
Daudi Chwa II was kabaka of Buganda from 1897 until his death in 1939. He was installed as an infant after his father Mwanga II rebelled against the British, and regents led by Apolo Kagwa governed until he came of age in 1914. The Buganda Agreement of 1900 was signed in his name, and he later protested against the decline of the kingdom's autonomy and customs under colonial rule.
