Deva Raya I was emperor of Vijayanagara of the Sangama dynasty from 1406 to 1422. Early in his reign he was defeated by Firuz Shah Bahmani and had to make peace on unfavourable terms, but he later recovered ground against the Bahmani Sultanate.
