Dewa Agung Jambe
Dewa Agung Jambe was the Balinese king who restored the senior royal dynasty after the court of Gelgel was overthrown by the rebel Gusti Agung Maruti. Around 1686 he set up a new palace at Klungkung, also called Semarapura. His descendants, the Dewa Agung, kept a ritual primacy over the other Balinese kingdoms until the Dutch conquest of 1908.
