Fors de Béarn
The Fors de Béarn were the customary laws and liberties of the viscounty of Béarn in south-western France, written down from the 12th century and gathered into a general code in the 13th and 14th centuries. Each new viscount had to swear to uphold them before his subjects took their oath of loyalty, and a revised code, the Nouveau For, was issued in 1551.
