Gabunga
Gabunga was the title of the admiral of the Kingdom of Buganda's fleet of war canoes on Lake Victoria, a hereditary office held by the head of the Lungfish (Mamba) clan. The large plank-built canoes under his command let the kabakas raid and control the shores and islands of the lake, including the Sese Islands and Busoga, and carry trade and envoys across it.
