Gorumahisani
Gorumahisani is an iron-ore hill in Mayurbhanj district, northern Odisha, India. Its deposits were identified by the geologist P. N. Bose in the early twentieth century, and the ruler of Mayurbhanj leased them to the Tata company, whose mines there supplied the steel works at Jamshedpur from its early years. It was among the first major iron-ore mines of modern India.
