Harburg (Hamburg)
Harburg is a borough of Hamburg on the south bank of the Elbe, formerly an independent town. It belonged to the dukes of Brunswick-Lüneburg and, after 1814, to the Kingdom of Hanover, under which it grew as a port and later as an industrial town with rubber and oil works. It merged with Wilhelmsburg in 1927 and became part of Hamburg in 1937.
