Jehoahaz was king of Israel in the late 9th century BCE, the son of Jehu. According to the Bible his reign saw heavy defeats by Hazael and Ben-Hadad of Aram-Damascus, which left him with only fifty horsemen, ten chariots and 10,000 foot soldiers.
