Jost Van Dyke
Jost Van Dyke is one of the four main islands of the British Virgin Islands, lying north-west of Tortola and named after a Dutch privateer. In the 18th century it was home to a small Quaker community, and the physician John Coakley Lettsom and the architect William Thornton were born there.
