Virgin Gorda
Virgin Gorda is the third-largest of the British Virgin Islands, east of Tortola. Its name, the 'fat virgin', is traditionally said to come from Christopher Columbus, who sighted the islands in 1493. It is known for the Baths, a beach of huge granite boulders, and its main settlement is Spanish Town, an early capital of the colony.
