Ju County
Ju County, or Juxian, is a county in Rizhao, in south-eastern Shandong province, China. It occupies the site of Ju, capital of the State of Ju, a non-Zhou state of the Dongyi peoples conquered by Chu in 431 BCE. Neolithic sites in the county have yielded pottery bearing some of the earliest marks discussed as precursors of Chinese writing.
