Júcar
The Júcar (Xúquer in Valencian) is a river of eastern Spain, about 500 kilometres long, rising in the Montes Universales and flowing through the province of Cuenca and across the Valencian plain to the Mediterranean at Cullera. Known in antiquity as the Sucro, it marked the southern limit of the Edetani. Its waters irrigate the orange groves and rice fields of Valencia.
