Kigali

Kigali is the capital and largest city of Rwanda, in the hills at the centre of the country. It began as a German residency founded in 1907 and grew rapidly after it became the capital at independence in 1962. Much of the 1994 genocide's killing took place there, and the Kigali Genocide Memorial now commemorates the victims.
