Léogâne
Léogâne is a coastal town in Haiti, west of Port-au-Prince. It stands near the site of Yaguana, seat of the Taíno chiefdom of Jaragua, and under French rule it was a sugar-producing district and for a time the capital of the colony of Saint-Domingue. Close to the epicentre of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, it was largely destroyed.
