Long Biên
Long Biên was an ancient city in the Red River delta near present-day Hanoi, the administrative seat of Chinese-ruled Jiaozhi under the Han and later dynasties. During the revolt of Lý Bí, who proclaimed himself Lý Nam Đế in 544, it served as his base, and he built the Khai Quốc pagoda nearby. Its name survives in a district of Hanoi.
