Muhyiddin of Brunei
Muhyiddin was the fourteenth sultan of Brunei, reigning from 1673 to 1690. Raised to the throne in opposition to the usurper Abdul Hakkul Mubin, he won the Brunei civil war of 1660–1673 with help from the Sultanate of Sulu. Sulu later based its claim to north-eastern Borneo on a promise of that territory said to have been made in return for its aid.
