Person
Narathu
Narathu was king of Pagan from 1167 to about 1171, the son and successor of Alaungsithu, whom tradition says he killed. Remembered in Burmese chronicles for his cruelty, he began the Dhammayangyi, the most massive temple at Pagan, which was left unfinished. He was assassinated after a few years on the throne, and his successor was soon killed as well.
