Oecusse
Oecusse is an exclave of East Timor on the north coast of the western, Indonesian half of Timor. Around Lifau it was the earliest centre of Portuguese presence on the island, and the border treaties with the Netherlands of 1859 and 1914 left it as a Portuguese enclave within Dutch Timor. It is now a special administrative region of East Timor.
