Rossano di Vaglio

Rossano di Vaglio is an archaeological site near Vaglio Basilicata, north-east of Potenza in southern Italy. It was the federal sanctuary of the Lucanians, dedicated to the goddess Mefitis, used from the 4th century BCE into the Roman period. The site has yielded many Oscan inscriptions written in the Greek alphabet, as well as altars and votive offerings.
