Sharjah Fort, known as Al Hisn, is a fort in the centre of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, built around 1820 under Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi. For about 150 years it was the residence of the ruling family and the seat of government. Most of it was pulled down in 1969, but it was rebuilt in the 1990s on the orders of Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi and is now a museum.
