Storia d'Italia
The Storia d'Italia, or History of Italy, is a historical work by Francesco Guicciardini, written in the last years of his life and published after his death, from 1561. Covering the Italian Wars from 1490 to 1534, it treats Italy as a whole and explains events through the calculations of rulers and the balance of power. It was widely translated and is a landmark of Renaissance historiography.
