Stormarn
Stormarn is a historical region and present-day district in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, between Hamburg and Lübeck. In the early Middle Ages it was one of the three Saxon districts north of the Elbe, alongside Holstein and Dithmarschen, with Hamburg as its chief centre. In 1111 it was granted, with Holstein, to Adolf I of Schauenburg, and it remained part of Holstein thereafter.
