Teispes

Teispes was an early Persian ruler of the seventh century BCE and an ancestor of Cyrus the Great in the Achaemenid line. He had conquered Anshan, a key Elamite region, around 650 BCE. This Persian advance into former Elamite lands foreshadowed the later integration of Elam into the Achaemenid Empire.
