Tomasi Kulimoetoke II
Tomasi Kulimoetoke II (1918–2007) was the Lavelua, or king, of Uvea (Wallis) in Wallis and Futuna from 1959 until his death. His reign of nearly fifty years spanned the islands' change from French protectorate to overseas territory in 1961. Its last years were marked by a dispute over his sheltering of a grandson convicted by a French court, which divided the island.
