Treaty of Copenhagen (1441)
The Treaty of Copenhagen of 1441 ended the naval war of 1438–1441 between the Wendish towns of the Hanseatic League, led by Lübeck, and Holland and Zeeland. It confirmed Dutch access to the Baltic trade, a turning point in the rise of Dutch shipping at the expense of the Hansa.
