Yajnavalkya
Yajnavalkya was a Vedic sage of Videha, regarded as the teacher of the White Yajurveda and the source of the Shatapatha Brahmana. In the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad he wins the philosophical contest at King Janaka's court and teaches that the self, atman, is identical with brahman. A later law code, the Yajnavalkya Smriti, was attributed to him and was commented on by Vijnaneshvara.
