Yujiulü Datan

Yujiulü Datan was khagan of the Rouran from 414 to 429. Soon after the death of the Northern Wei emperor Mingyuan in 423 he raided the Wei heartland around Shengle with a large cavalry army. In 429 Emperor Taiwu of Northern Wei led a great expedition into Mongolia that routed the Rouran, and Datan died soon afterwards.
