Zahara de la Sierra
Zahara de la Sierra is a village in the province of Cádiz, Spain, crowned by a Moorish castle above the Guadalete valley. A frontier fortress between Castile and the Nasrid Emirate of Granada, it was taken by Castile in 1407 and recaptured by the emir Abu al-Hasan Ali in December 1481, which Castile answered by seizing Alhama, starting the Granada War. Castile retook it in 1483.
