Alexander III of Imereti
Alexander III was King of Imereti in western Georgia from 1639 to 1660. Much of his reign was spent in conflict with Levan II Dadiani, the powerful prince of Mingrelia, and he sought the protection of Russia against his rivals and the Ottomans. After Levan's death in 1657 he briefly extended his authority over Mingrelia, but his gains did not outlast his own death in 1660.
