Álmos, Duke of Croatia

c. 1070–1127 · 12th century · Also known as Prince Álmos

Álmos was a Hungarian prince, the son of King Géza I, who held the ducal third of the kingdom, the tercia pars regni, and was briefly king of Croatia. His repeated plots against his brother King Coloman led Coloman to abolish the duchy in 1107 and later to have Álmos and his son Béla blinded. Béla nevertheless became king in 1131.
