fl. 713 BCE · 8th century BCE · Also known as Ambaridi

Ambaris was a king of Bit-Burutash in Tabal in south-central Anatolia in the late 8th century BCE. The Assyrian king Sargon II gave him his daughter in marriage and the land of Hilakku, but in 713 BCE accused him of plotting with Mita of Phrygia and Rusa of Urartu, deported him to Assyria and annexed his kingdom as a province.
