Amoghabhuti

c. 1st century BCE · 1st century BCE

Amoghabhuti was a king of the Kunindas, a people of the Himalayan foothills, who reigned around the 1st century BCE. He is known from his silver coins, modelled on Indo-Greek drachms, which carry legends in Brahmi and Kharoshthi and show a deer and a goddess. Found widely between the Sutlej and the Ganges, they are the main evidence for the Kuninda kingdom.
