Andersen Air Force Base

Andersen Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base in the north of Guam, built after American forces retook the island from Japan in 1944. It served as a base for B-29 raids on Japan in 1945 and for B-52 bombers in the Vietnam War, and remains one of the main US military installations in the western Pacific.
